My favorite map projection would have to be the Gnomic Projection probably because the name is super cool, and more importantly, It shows only one hemisphere at a time. I prefer map projections that single out one section of a map at a time. It is easier to work with, and shows how close some land forms in the Northern & Southern Hemisphere are a lot closer than they seem. For example, on a map, Alaska and Russia look far apart. If you look at a Gnomic Projection of the Northern Hemisphere, You can see how close Alaska and Russia truly are. Thousands of years ago, A bridge used to connect the two land formations. As time went on, they slowly separated, and now about 100 miles separates them. On a regular globe, one would probably not be able to interpret this. The Gnomic Map Projection is super interesting, and my pick out of the four different map projections.
mucho love, madeline

I like your Gnonomic projection picture. You are very descreptive on choice.
My favorite map projection was the Gnomic too! You have a great way of showing your description of it in your picture. I always wanted to know why we don't use the gnomic projection as often as most other things... it is a very cool projection
